Stress Tolerance Levels

Ahh…it’s Friday and I’ve spent the week thinking about Stress Tolerance Levels.  What are they?  How do they get created?  How can we expand them in ourselves and in our children?  The ability to tolerate stress is all about skill building!  We start learning this in infancy and we develop this skill throughout our life.  When we are younger, we cry for help and, hopefully, there is a response.  As we get older, we learn to soothe ourselves and take care of our stress from an internal place.  We must learn how to tolerate stress with the help of external sources (aka caregivers/parents) before we can tolerate stress internally.  Check out our website next week…there will be a download all about Stress Tolerance Levels!  Happy weekend to you…doing something FUN!
