About Stacy

I started doing social work when I was in the seventh grade and one of my best friends was going through something difficult with her family.  She leaned on me for support and I was happy to provide it.

I continued my journey into college and found out that I could make a career out of helping people.  This allowed me to build on my natural strengths.

I stumbled upon working with traumatized, abused, and neglected children in 2000 when I became a mentor to a young boy whose family was in complete chaos.

After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology Education at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, I went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Walla Walla University in Billings, Montana.  I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Montana (License # 703) and then transferred my license to the State of Colorado when our family relocated here (License #2073).

I have additional training in:

  • NMTtrainedP2Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, Phase I and Phase II, Certified Clinician
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control
  • Treating Military Service Member and Families

I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve hundreds of children and families as a family therapist.  I am one of those blessed people who know exactly what my purpose is in this lifetime:  to SERVE traumatized, neglected, and abused children.

I am honored that I get to be a part of your journey.  Thank you for visiting www.bewhatsright.com.
